Almost every article about being attractive to geeks mentions “ This makes me think that the world is full of good actors, or the people who write these columns have never even gone out for drinks with a geek. I’ve had serious relationships and meaningful friendships with more than a few. It does mean that I don’t see the point in pretending to be who you are not.
Some of them are fairly well-known geek guys who might be shocked to learn they’re considered geeky. I just go out into the world and see who I happen to meet. There are people in my life who do something for a living I couldn’t even explain very well, but they are extraordinarily important to me. Other times, you find that those who understand you the most may appear to be nothing like you, but actually are. Dating a geek isn’t about sharing geeky hobbies, although it’s wonderful if you do.
On the other hand, if you’re looking to attract the attention of a geek because you think dating a different type of person may help break unhealthy relationship patterns in your life, you may be right.
